Charlotte Tilbury (British, Make Up Artist (MUA) and founder of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty) Luxury Palette in ‘The Golden Goddess’ and ‘The Dolce Vita’ are my most favourite eyeshadow palettes I have ever had the pleasure of using.
The Dolce Vita - bronze and copper toned shades.
Day Time makeup look
1. Apply the ‘Prime’ shade (top left) of the eyeshadow palette onto your eyelid, to the inner corner of your eyes and under brow arch end. Use a clean fluffy blending brush and blend.
2. Blend the ‘Enhance’ shade (top right) across the crease of your eyelid, then apply and blend along your upper and lower lash line.
Night time makeup look
1.&2. As Day Time makeup look above.
3. Apply the ‘Smoke’ shade (bottom right) and blend upwards and outwards into your socket and along the upper and lower lash line.
4. Apply the ‘Pop’ shade (bottom left) to your eyelid with your ring finger.
Charlotte Tilbury used to be the creative director for Tom Ford, and her palettes are similar to Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quads (of which I am a big fan of and own a decent collection) i.e. quads, texture and glitter shade. However, hers are on another level (which I didn’t think was possible). All four shades are stunning on their own, the addition of a prime shade (making the palette complete), a choice of shimmer and the Pop shade has a super fine glitter that doesn’t sit in lines and looks so flattering for all ages. Charlotte Tilbury’s clever choice of the four shades in each palette, is what I am most delighted and excited about. They work so well together, seamlessly blending, very pigmented, clearly labelled and laid out well to make it easy for a novice or professional to use. With 9 Luxury Palettes to choose from, there is a palette for everyone.
The Golden Goddess - gold and bronze toned shades.
The Golden Goddess is my most favourite eyeshadow palette that I have ever owned! Yes, it is a pretty bold statement, and one I stand by 100%. I totally love it... my Holy Grail, my ‘I need this in my life’. I find I reach out for my Golden Goddess most days and nights in the week. It’s the perfect everyday eyeshadow for me, it is natural, very flattering and I am often complimented and asked to re-create the same look. I can achieve a beautiful, natural, sophisticated makeup look to a super sexy, sultry, makeup look with the same palette.
I sometimes use the pop shade blended onto my eyelids over the prime shade and softly smoke with enhance for days I fancy some sparkle. It works really well, I have glitter on, but it’s subtle and cute, and I can wear it during the day! What girl doesn’t like glitter?
The packaging could be better, but the eyeshadows themselves are worth every single penny and I know, each eyeshadow will be used to the pan (very close to each other). I have no history of this ever being the case for any of my makeup palettes. Have you?
